Las líneas de investigación de este grupo se alinean con la RIS3 de Castilla-La Mancha en los sectores siguientes:

  • tecnologías facilitadoras
El GPEM es un grupo de investigación multidisciplinar, integrado, además, en el recién aprobado Instituto de Investigación aplicada a la Industria Aeronáutica (INAIA). Las líneas de investigación del grupo están alineadas mayoritariamente tanto con los objetivos del Campus de Excelencia Internacional en Energía y Medioambiente (CYTEMA) como al menos dos de los sectores estratégicos definidos en la RIS3. El documento RIS3 indica con claridad aquellos sectores objetivos de desarrollo de la región castellano-manchega, entre los cuales están: Agroalimentario, Sectores tradicionales (Cerámica estructural, Moda (Textil y Calzado), Madera y Mueble y Metalmecánico), Turismo y cultura (Innovación en la promoción turística, Turismo cinegético, Enoturismo y Turismo idiomático), Aeronáutico, Medio Ambiente y Energía y Bioeconomía. Como se podrá apreciar en el CV del grupo, la actividad de éste se enmarca en el sector transporte (entre ellos el aeronáutico) y el de energía y medioambiente.
