General Information

This doctorate program is created to fulfill the needs of continuing and adapting to the new law established by the R.D 99/2011, the actual Ph.D. Program in Fundamental Rights and Public Freedom substituted the last Ph.D. Program in Interpretation of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, which also was adapted according to the laws related below:

Linked Programs (regulated by the Royal Decree 1393/2007):

  • Ph.D. Program in Fundamental Rights and Public Freedom verified by the Universities Council July 29th, 2009. It is important to highlight that this Ph.D. Program is heir to the Program "Interpretation of constitutionally recognized rights and freedoms", it is one of the most ancient Ph.D. programs of this university. Its creation and its implementation dates to the date of completion of the first graduating class of Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (academic year 1990-1991). The success of this program, in terms of the number of Ph.Ds who have obtained the degree after completing it, shows the academic and scientific interest and relevance of the current Doctoral Program in Fundamental Rights and Public Freedoms. The training period of this doctoral program is the master's degree in Fundamental Rights and Public Liberties, verified by the Council of Universities on June 1, 2009.
    Program coordinator: Javier Vecina Cifuentes.

  • Doctoral Program in International and Community Taxation, verified by the Council of Universities on July 29, 2009. The proposed PhD program is part of the research lines developed by the Financial and Tax Law Area of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the International Center for Tax Studies (CIEF-UCLM). This program is the result of the Inter-University Doctorate in European Tax Law (UCLM and University of Santiago de Compostela), taught since the academic year 2003/2004 and the only Doctorate Program on the subject of those taught in all Spanish universities that has been awarded a Mention of Quality by the Ministry of Education and Science (reference MCD2005-00131), granted by Resolution of June 29, 2005 (BOE nº 167, July 14, 2005) for the 2005/2006 academic year, and renewed for the 2006/2008 (Resolution of August 11, 2006, published in BOE nº 207, August 30, 2006) and 2007/2009 (Resolution of September 19, 2007, published in BOE nº 245, October 12, 2007) biennia. Not only the UCLM has participated in this PhD program, but also teachers and professionals from Spanish universities (Cadiz, Santiago de Compostela, Valencia, etc.), European universities (Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal), as well as several international institutions, teaching courses or seminars, have actively collaborated in this program. The training period of this doctoral program is the master's degree in international and Community Taxation, verified by the Council of Universities on June 26, 2009.
