The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) has held the 2nd Conference of the Master’s Degree in Strategic Management and Information Technology, organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Information Technology in Talavera de la Reina, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening the link between academic education and the professional world.
The conference brought together students and experts to discuss the current challenges of digital transformation, with a particular focus on the strategic management of information technologies in the public and private sectors. The programme included a number of presentations delivered by leading professionals. Among them was a talk by Juan Ángel Morejudo Flores, Managing Director of the Digital Transformation Agency of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, on the strategic priorities for digitalisation in the region. Teudiselo Díaz Rodríguez-Isla, Director of Castilla-La Mancha at Telefónica, also addressed the management of ICT projects in public administrations. Other participants included Fernando Gualo Cejudo, CEO of DQTeam, who analysed the importance of metadata quality; Álvaro del Hoyo Manene, from CrowdStrike, who focused on digital security and resilience; and Eugenio Hernández Gómez, from Celonis, who presented process intelligence applications, alongside a practical case study applied to public administration, presented by Marcos Vega Sanz, from Inetum.
These conferences cement their role as a forum for exchange between universities and businesses, giving students a taste of real-world experiences in the technology sector.
